Talking Storage Bin Install

I have this bin in my car held with a bungee cord but I'm not liking the setup. I need it to be easily removable but also secure when I drive.
I do travel with a packed trunk so what ever is there cant interfere too much with trunk space.
Any ideas?

velcro would prolly be your best bet unless you have cargo tray

IDK if this is your cup of tea, but remove your spare tire and accessories and put one in there. It wont be very deep but would be out of sight, secure, and removable. But as I said, not everyone wants to remove their spare tire.

So I'm trying to find a way to make that bin. Stay put but at the same time make it easy to put in and take out and possibly even spin it around to be able to easily access materials on both sides of the bin. I was thinking of doing small L brackets and just screwing it into the floor but wanted to see what anyone else came up with a better idea.

I actually had that original setup and it was PERFECT until I got a flat tire and had to pay a few hundred bucks for a tow. Lol.

I have cargo net that goes across and it holds box in place, I can move it left, right or twist. Pressure of the cargo net is enough to hold it in place.

I think you should look into how the setup is in the new generation golfs. They have these velcro L blocks that you can arrange to hold things in place. Maybe you could order some on amazon and try those?

My friend has a '12 TDI Golf, and these things are fantastic.

Yea, my brother has them on his '13 GLI...so simple, yet to effective. Almost seems hard to believe they aren't more common in trunks.

No problem! The velcro is super strong on them too, they're kinda hard to pull off of the carpet when you want to move them, which is good because they won't move on their own.

Did anyone try these velcro blocks? Do they work well with the TL's carpet?
