Stop By Cops Just For The Hell Of It Or For Ticket??
First, I'll knock on wood. That being said, I haven't been stopped by the cops in alsmost 7 years. My TL is lowered, blinged, tinted, and I have no front license plate and so far, no problems. However, that could change any time (hopefully not).
One checked up on me once while leaving a local bar...they said they pulled me over for no front plate (then again, the car was new, so I had no plates period). No sort of neg/pos special treatment due to the TL
I wouldn't think that any cop would choose the TL out of the crowd to stop just for the hell of it. It's a great car, don't get me wrong, but I think if a cop were to pull over a car just to take a look see it might be a bit more flashy (i.e. exotic, sports coupe, etc...).
Hell, all my friends who are cops just don't pull over cars for the hell of it anyways. Either there's something wrong with the registration, car itself, or the driver was driving a bit crazy.

I actually got pulled over in my 01 Accord Coupe on the Ohio Turnpike, on my way to pick up my TL last week.
No ticket, Trooper walked up to the window (I was in a suit, wife and baby in the car, only going 74 in a 65) and said I was only getting a warning.
I thought to myself, hope my NBP TL is in stealth mode when I come flying back through here in a couple of hours.

I think it's been around 10 years since I've been stoped. One tends to lose track over time.
My secret? Stay near the speed limit. Though I admit to buying an Escort when I got my TL, I'm probably one of the few individuals who actually do use it mainly for it's safety features.
As a youth I rarely drove below 90 when given the opportunity (and this was back in the days of 55 mph speed limits, so 90 was way over the limit). Then one day I realized how stressfull trips were because I was constantly on the lookout for cops.
Once I realized that, I set my cruise on about 5 over the limit and sit back and relax. In really heavy traffic I'll set it to about one mile below the limit so I don't keep having to change lanes to pass folks. It's a pretty stress-free way to travel, and I still only arrive a handful of minutes later than I would otherwise.

I have not been pulled over in over 6 years. The key is to make sure that you're NOT the fastest car on the road. I tend to stay either with the traffic or just ahead if there is a lowered honda flying by - cop magnet.
I also recently acquired a detector so I'm hoping that I'll have added insurance. Knock on wood.

Casooner has the same approach as I do - Be sure that someone else is always going faster than you! THEY will stand out and get the ticket.
I gotta tell ya though - the TL is SO tempting - it is so hard to drive slow.
The last ticket I got was in my supercharged Millenia S back in '96. I used the power to zip around some old woman driving 25 in a 35 zone. The cop said I crossed the double line to pass her. Oh well.
A story for you -
Someone was stopped for speeding, and complained to the cop:
"Why did you stop me? There are LOTS of other people speeding besides me!"
The cop replied - "Do you go fishing?"
"Yes" the victim replied.
The cop then asked "Did you ever catch ALL the fish?"
HA ha!
Be careful out there, gang!
