still waiting for the car but..
Ok guys need your opinion..
dealer found my color choice NPB/ebony/6MT/NAV at another dealerership. They are willing to swap but my dewaler says theyll have to drive it down and put 62 miles on it. If i choose to I can have the car by Friday. If not I still have to wait..which I dont mind since I am still in the process of ordering all the "mods". (FYI just ordered wheels yesterday) but they dont know how long it is going to take.
Should I be patient or take the car?

You can always let them know that you will pick it up yourself. It'll probably be safer that way. You can start breaking it in on the way back. I personally would never trust anyone of them to drive my car over. Good luck and congrats.

They won't let him pick up the car himself, trust me. He doesn't own it yet.
I say let them DX (dealer exchange) it, with the agreement if there is something wrong with the vehicle he can walk away. My TL was shipped down from Pittsburgh to MD, about 300 miles. But, mine was towed in a covered trailer, owned by the dealer principal. What can I say-I have connections!
62 Miles is not worth worrying about. My first new car had 451 miles on it when I bought it. I never had any issues related to those miles. And it was a Mustang GT, so you know it was driven hard.

It feels good to put the first few miles on it yourself, wait it out.

shoot I was think to compensate me for the added miles I dont want..they should
1. give me new wheels off the lot with less mileage (thatll take care of the wear and tear on the tires)
2. give me Springs and sway bar installed on delivery? what you think?

I guess I appreciate that sentiment, but the dealer is actually incurring expenses to do this for you. Asking for compensation in return is bad juju, IMHO.
If you don't want the miles, then wait for the car. If you want the car bad enough, have them pick it up.
