It looks like the clear is peeling on mine.
I took mine off. I had to get a pick and some small snipping tools to get it off. It took me the better part of two hours to get the whole thing removed. The pins that hold the emblem in are fused (melted) to the back of the airbag cover, so some of them didn't come out all the way. I was able to snip the pegs on my new emblem in such a way that it went in without interfering with the old pegs which were still inside the cover.

It was incredibly time consuming, frustrating, and even painful (i nicked myself a couple of times with the snipping tools). The emblem is attached VERY well and requires a lot of effort to get started. It gets easier as you progress, but is not a task for the faint of heart.

A guy I've dealt with in taiwan for jdm parts gave me the # to the factory and I've been in contact with them

they only sell in bulk but he agreed to sell me 20,
10 of which are mine, because my friends have isues with theirs too and I'm keeping some as spares for the future

I've never dealt with them before and they only take bank wire so I hope I dont get screwed but oh well
I'm going to order them and see what happens

Hasnt sent me pics but he told me they supply
Most of the car manufactures with airbags

I asked if they are solid or flexible to
See if they're legit of not

He said flexible

Most fakes are hard. I took mine apart
It's a flexible plastic. You can bend it

So are we talking just the emblem or the whole airbag cover?

If it's airbag cover, I'm interested in an 07-08 one and I'm down to get in on this bulk buy with you.

I thought about PlastiDipping my emblem black but obviously I'm not gonna spray in the car or take the wheel out for just that. They make a product called liquid electrical tape, I wonder how that would work brushed on, if it would peel the same as dip, so you could do the A on the wheel whatever color you want...

If so how would I replace that?
