Steering to light...

I have 18" wheels and recently i put all my tires to about 38 all around since i do have the a-spec suspension and single 12" in the trunk.... My problem is that i wish my steering was somewhat more tighter... i love the way it rides on 38 psi and even as high as 40 but i wish i could make the steering tighter since by increasing the tire pressure it made it even more light. the funny thing is its even light on highway speeds.

anything i can do to compensate ???

put your tires back to specs.........you are going to wear out your tires quicker due to less contact patch.....due to higher PSI......not to mention there is a greater chance of one of them popping

Tire pressure is certainly a factor, since higher pressure reduces the contact patch size.
Another factor is your alignment. Cars with any significant positive camber will ride on the outside edge of the tire, and that makes the steering feel much lighter. I've had to adjust this out on a few cars over the years.

well acura recommends 38 35 I believe for an A-SPEC TL. So i'm not to far off and i only bumped up the rear ones a little to compensate for the extra weight in the trunk due to the system, so i'm pretty sure there is enough contact to the road. alignment...well the car drives straight as it could, i don't believe anything is to far off from that. Its not light, i don't mean to exaggerate its just that when i hear type's guys say its to heavy, i wish mine was like that.... thats why i wanted to know if there was anything i can do to get that feeling of a type s lets say. thats all. i don't think anything is wrong with mine either.

acura tire pressure is based on stock crap tires and not even their best performance

OP is on 18s and different tires- which often need a higher tire pressure.
the 80 percent rule is a good start, and most tire makers will email you a suggested pressure for your rim size and car weight if you ask them to

example: my general exclaim uhp max cold pressure 50 psi, the TL is putting about 80 percent of that max weight on the tire, so subtract 20 % 10 psi and go from there
Checking actual tire temp across its surface is the true test
Email to company said 40-42 is perfect

Get it aligned - bigger tires will have changed things, set the toe and it should tighten the feel

Have you have the PS hose recall done- if applicable
How about flushing the PS fluid?

what about the speed sensing steering in your car- does it tighten the steering feel the same as a type s?
whats the owner book say about that?
