Sorry to see that, Sharky. Mine was vandalized 3 separate times in my old neighborhood so I know the feeling. Hopefully everything gets sorted out accordingly.

That sucks. My previous car was one of my motivating factors when I bought my house. I got tired if it getting broken into, bumped, or dinged. I think the last time something happened to it, it was less than 60 days later that I had bought my house.

damn bro i feel for you.... my wifes g35 was keyed at my dads house not too long ago... thankfully it didnt total the car. there were 2 distinct lines that went all the way from the front driver fender all the way down the side, onto the trunk and then starting back around the passenger side.. i wish i could have beat the living shit out of them and still do.

false alarm everyone. after a second look, it seems that someone backed into my front bumper. spiderweb cracks all over it and a few more areas where paint is missing. i just couldn't see it because of the rain this morning.

amazing how someone was able to back into me. it's near impossible where i park my car. strange indeed.

at least i know i'm not being targeted.

If i were to key someone's car, I would raise it on a jackstand, go underneath, unscrew the oil pan, and key the transmission. Then put everything back to where it belonged.

best part, the guy may NEVER find out

Damn thats fucking annoying.

I would be PISSED if I were you. I was going to say its weird for someone to key it there, and such a small amount of "keying." I would assume if anyone was pissed enough to key it they'd do more damage than that.

I was going to suggest that you look around and see if there was any other damage but I see you already came to the same conclusion lol (reading<me this time lol).

Whats your insurance coverage? Looks like 350-500 of to repaint/recondition. IF your deductible is less than that then report it. Most shops would do 250$ for a repaint; thats what I pay.

Sucks man. GL with it bro

why is that? so that you can shoot the person that accidentally backs into your car in a parking lot?

well in the time i've lived at this complex, my roof spoiler was stolen and someone backed into me when i had the cover off. when i had it on religously everyday, nothing ever happened to it. i'm thinking that since my car is NBP and lighting is poor in that area, someone just didn't see my car and nudged it as they were leaving the parking lot. who knows.

awesome advice. i'll get right on that.

thanks man. yeah i got a paint guy that will do the front bumper for $250. he repainted my rear bumper for the same price when someone backed into it last year.

My insurance gave me a check for $4750 to paint the entire car minus the roof, and both bumpers. Of course this is without my $250 deductible for vandalism. I had a great body shop repaint the entire car for me and we came to a price of $6000. This included taking the entire car apart, painting, reassembling, and wet sanding everything. I didnt notice my insurance go up due it be vandalism. Honestly I wouldnt fix it until you left that area, you never know if they'll come back. Good luck with everything.

doesn't matter how much space you think is available to be "safe"...inevitably some asshat who can't drive hits you. had it happen...suffice it to say i was pissed. hence i have become super paranoid about parking anywhere near other people, in the street...even in my own driveway with the stupid tree still looking down at me (can't wait for the day that thing gets cut down). our society has gone to hell in terms of respecting other people's property let alone each other. as much as it is an eye sore...wait to move and then get her fixed. or put bubble wrap around her.

Makes me so sick to see. I wish there were vigilante gangs that would hunt these people down and terminate them. My apartment is $375 a month, so kind of higher class crowds than the cheap ghetto apartments... so fortunately haven't seen anything like this IRL before
