Starting issue

I checked "Garage" for this and could not find anything that fit. I have a new (2000miles) TLS and twice I have turned the key to start and nothing. Turn key off and try again and it starts along with a warning "Check Starting System". Also the code has to be reentered into the nave system when this happens and the trip milage goes to zero. Anyone have this problem because it does not happen often and I will not be able to "show" the dealer the issue.

I've experienced a problem with warm restarts...pop in to a store, come back out in a few minutes, and crank. I have had to turn the key twice in these situations, but never have I seen any warnings. I have a feeling my issue is probably normal, as I've seen it on other cars I've owned in the past.
And be prepared for the "Could Not Reproduce" comment after you drop it off for the dealer to repair. However, there may be a quick fix that they know about. Either way it will be hard for them to fix what they can't find unless there's a tsb or memo floating around from Honda.

Good luck!

If the OP got an error message would that imply that there will be an error code in car's diag system? If so, the dealer should not need to reproduce the problem in order to confirm a problem exists.

Bottom line though, you need to go to a dealer and have it checked out.

Its 110 here so all starts are warm starts. Both times it happened after sitting in the garage overnight. Glad to hear I'm not the only one this has happened to. Goes to the dealer today so we will see. My guess is the battery. Hoping for an error code. Thanks

Went to the dealer and they found a loose negative battery cable. In and out in 30 minutes. Everything else checked out fine.
