Starter installation
Starter installation
Hello,
I have a 2004 TL. I already had a remote starter system when I bought the car used. It doesn't work anymore neither does the remote because of damage. I bought a new starter today but the installation price was 250$ which I had no idea the reason.
So I just bought the part for now and am going to wait but I was wondering what you guys paid for installation for a starter system. The guy said its expensive because he would have to remove my old one and bypass but i figured since its already bypassed it would be an easy switch.
Thank you,
Norair

what did you originally have in there???? compustar, autostart?? cause to put in another brand is a pain. but if you already have a remote starter that means you have a bypass, no need for another module.
you would be better off paying someone to re-install with either a compustar or an autostart. Those 2 are the most reliable and if you ever decide to upgrade to a better model, all you have to do is plug in the new module and antenna then re-program.
