Starter

What brand of starter are you guys using and where di you purchase. I purchased one from NAPA but the connector for the solenoid didn't fit. I asked about a DENSO but the nearest one was in Colorado. I.ve searched online but the part numbers are a bit confusing. acuraoemparts.com says the starters for 2007/2008 are the same as the 09-12 smh

why shaking your head?

it's pretty common for honda to reuse parts..
you purchased an aftermarket starter....always stick with OEM, which is a denso unit!

Replaced the starter on my car a couple months ago with Denso from Rockauto. It was pretty straightforward, the hardest part was actually getting the battery tray out of the way. Fortunately the starter is easily accessible on this engine, compared to like an '06 civic where you're under the car, reaching up through the frame and past the axles, trying to spin the damn thing to get it out, swearing, trying to get bolts out you cant see.....making me upset just thinking about it lol. Go with denso for sure.
