stained clear bra

Just wondering if anyone has had problems with bug stain on their clear bra. I put about 200 miles of highway driving on my car the other night and definitely did my part on pest control. Problem is, the clear bra was only installed a couple of weeks ago and the installer said it takes 30 days for the clear bra to fully cure and that I should be very careful when washing and use minimal pressure. I did this and noticed that some of the bug guts will not come off. Are the stains permanent, or would a good bug and tar remoever do the trick after the 30 day cure period.

on a related note, i have noticed a few bubbles, supposedly they go away over time. How is it possible that they go away since it appears moisture is actually trapped under the film. wher does this moisture evaporate to, since it is in a sealed environent?

Use any plastic safe products for Bugs and you'll be safe.

Also, what seems sealed for your eyes is not sealed for the evaporated water. It makes it's way out of the film.

The way it was explained to me some time ago, the clear bra is semi-permeable, which means that moisture trapped in there will evaporate, but rain and other stuff will not penetrate the film.

Yep, my clear bra got stained from bird crap.....seems kinda weird that a piece of plastic can get stained so easily. My installer says he'll repair it for me, but I guess those of us with the clear bra will need to be very diligent in keeping things off it.

When I still had my SSM 5at, my clear bra had a yellow stain on it. It looked like it was done by a yellow highlighter. I posted it in the wash and wax section and one of the members told me that it happen to him too and that it will come off eventually. So don't worry.

Semi-permeable, Hmmm. They have developed a synthetic membrane that selectively lets water out, but not in? I find that hard to believe - they were blowing smoke up your tail and trying to sound scientific.

Maybe I shoudl get some of that magic membrane and replace the cartilage in my knee.

sorry, i am just not buying that several 1.5-inch bubbles are going to disappear. on a side note, the clear bra is barely noticeable on a WDP car
