ok, I found a 06 WDP w/ nav and black interior with 26k miles and window tint. The only thing that sucks is its 2 grand higher then the silver tl with same miles and 7yr 100k warranty.

So I question myself: Is 2 grand worth the wdp minus the warranty?

Common sense tells me just buy the 06 ASM with the warranty but the other half says WDP FTW.

Get a WDP because that's what you really want, but keep looking for a better deal. You wouldn't settle for a WDP with the Taupe interior even if it had Navi? But if you really, really want the TL now I would go for the SSM with Navi. Don't settle for non navi.

PEACE!

I was in your same boat. Back in 04 I wanted a white but they didn't have any. I would have had to wait 6 weeks so I got silver and watched it get unloaded off the truck. I have been extremely happy with ssm. It looks great. If it was me I would go for the ssm.

Just sold the STI today

Im gonna miss it, but for the price the guy paid (3k) over bluebook, I just couldnt refuse the offer. Some people just have money to burn I guess....

Now the hunt remains for a great priced TL. I will update with pics once I find one!

So I called acura about the 06 ASM or SSM with nav just to find out that the price listed is the "internet price" assuming you finanace through them. If I dont finance (in which I wasnt), its a 1,000.00 more then the listed price since they are loosing the "kickback" from the banks.

Thats BS.....

well, I found 2 wdp/blkint/nav

A 06 for 20k w/67k miles
A 07 for 26k w/38k miles

Sucks because I dont want to spend more then 22k and the 06 miles seems high.

ok, so I talked an acura dealer down to 19.5k on a mint looking 06 WDP w/ black interior and 40k miles (no nav) (no cpo)

vs

06 ASM 21.8k 27k miles CPO and NAV from a different Acura dealer

Get the ASM, no question about it. 22K miles is barely used, and you'll regret not getting the car with Navi. It really makes a huge difference.

I just realized that the rear bumper color doesnt match the rest of the car on the ASM, so maybe thats why its such a good deal.

What do you think about the bumper color being off?

VS this different car more miles more $$

It looks as if the car in the first pic has a replaced rear bumper that didnt get the paint to match correctly.

Trust me, that's nothing to be worry about at all. Almost all TL's have problems with the paint on the bumpers not matching the rest the car. It doesn't have anything to do with them being in accidents. WDPs are notorious for that, and my SSM has slight mismatch. Don't let it stop you from buying the car...a dealer wouldn't knock down the price just for that.

I have to chime in here. I've been pulling out my hair over the last week or so every since I put my deposit on the LT i've always wanted.

Out of sheer coincidence an 06 WDP /Ebony /Nav fell into my lap. It has 78,000kms (48,000 miles) and is selling for $22.9k ($21.2k USD).

The only reason I am pulling out my hair is because its my dream combo for an Acura TL. They are becomming more common in Toronto but are not priced anywhere under $27,000 so this is quite a steal.

What I want to say is, if I had to settle on changing what I wanted about the car, I would spend $23,000 on something else. I want a TL because of its features, and just as importantly because the way it looks (especially when it looks the way I want it to) I feel that it's customized in a way.

Just ask yourself which you would regret more, spending slightly less on something you don't want. Or spending slightly more on something you do. We arent buying clothes here.. its a $20,000 machine that I believe should represent yourself, your style, and your personality. Always consider that.

Good luck in the long term with whatever decision that you make.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your opinion, I just really suck at having patience and I get down because when I do find everything I want in a car the dealers are asking about 4 grand more then what it should be listed as.

For now I guess I will just keep holding out and looking at autotrader and cars.com like a crack addict...

Just got off the phone with a dealer:
06 TL 44kmiles CPO NAV WDP BLK interior and he says the car is in Mint condition

Dealer asking : $25.995
Negotiated price onthe phone: $22,750 +taxes tags ect.

Is this a good deal or is it too high? He said at 22.5k they would lose money on selling it, but that might be BS.

It is. A dealer wouldn't sell a car only to lose money from it. It's just a tactic they use to make it seem like you're getting a great deal.

And them listing it for 26K? They must be smoking funny things. You could get a used 2008 for that price.

WDP FTW!

Davis Acura is a bunch of jerks. Go to Montgomeryville and then Sussman (where I got my car, although they are jerks too).

WDP is definately nice!! Especially with the black interior. Just picked up an 07 WDP last weekend. I was originally looking for either a black or the dark color and never wanted to look at a white one. BUT, when I drove by the Acura dealer and saw the WDP with the tinted windows it grew on me. Same for my wife. Ended up picking it up that night.

ok heres the final verdict:

car #1
no nav, no CPO 41kmiles Out the door price 21k

car # 2
NAV, CPO, 44kmiles, rear spoiler and molding on doors just installed. 24.6k OTD

Thats a difference of 3.6k for NAV and CPO.

Which one should I go with? Im ready to buy either, but is 3.6k worth nav, spoiler, moldings and CPO?
