SS Transmision Noobie, help me

i know the basics of how SS works, but when im about to slow down or make a turn where i have to slow down speed.... when do i downshift and by how much??.... can someone make a list of things to remember???

If you know how to drive stick, then you will have better idea how, when to downshift or upshift.

Owners manual section on SS has specifics for max speed vs downshifting gears that you should read. RTOM

I usually don't pay much attention on the speed. I always look at the rpm to decide when to shift. If the needle went over 3k shift up one gear. About when to shift down, I never paid attention to that, I just hit the brake when I want to slow the car down or making turns. The car will automatically shift to gear # 1 when the car is below 5mph.

the car will down shift for you you dont have to

Does the manual say anything about the transistion from pure automatic to SS. In other words, can you be traveling at 50 mph in pure auto and slam it over into SS, or do you have to wait until you stop?
