Sport Shift Question

I picked up my Green Pearl/Navi AT yesterday and today tried shifting with the Sport Shifter. Since the car isn't broken in I only tried shifting from a normal start. The 1-2 upshift takes place at about 9 MPH which the manual also states. Is this true even under hard acceleration? It would seem strange for the car to upshift to second before it had a chance to wind up at all.

there are a ton of threads on this, so do a search. but yes, as far as i understand, depending on how hard you accelerate, it will shift accordingly.

Re: Sport Shift Question

It will respond to your throttle status. More and quicker accelaration should get higher RPM/speed before automatically shifting to 2nd gear.

Thanks for the response.

Adam, I did a search first on Sport Shift. I had 33 hits and I did not find any with this information. It may be because I am only going back 30 days. Will try again.
