Sport shift died
I was driving sport shift fairly hard last night when it just quit working. The shifter was still in the gate and the "M" was lit up on the dash, but no gear was displayed. It was shifting automatically. I tried moving the stick from auto back to manual several times and could not get the darn thing to engage manual mode. Must have been a software issue or something as it appears to work again after turning off the car and restarting.

Was the green drive light blinking by any chance? If so just bring it in and they can hook it up to the computer to figure out what it is. Prob nothing major. If it does turn out to be solenoid A or B i think those parts are around $22 each.
I've used the manual mode for about 60k miles now and had the gears stop shifting once in awhile or had to flip it into auto/manual/auto/manual until finally it shifted. Weird things happen in manual.
Nothing acura could find though.. (but I'm guessing my issues were related to a quirky solenoid)
When I had the green blinking drive light issue I think it was related to my coffee vs shifter incident. So the computer was freaking out about downshifting and finally locked me out of manual mode. I resolved that with replacing the shifting part myself in another thread on this forum
That was a $40 part. So nothing major.
Some people on the forum will try to put you into a panic and say your Trans is going to fall out and 2nd gear is going to fly out the engine and hit you in the eye. I wouldn't panic over what they say and just have them run it through the diag stuff at the dealer to make sure its cool.
