Spoilerdepot.com

Anyone have any opinions on this site. They have the lip or deck spoiler in factory paint for $159, but it sounds too good to be true.

hmm... if you select a paint color, the price comes out to $269.99 (110 for the paint).. .so i think $159.00 is just for the unpainted one, whcih is a feasible price.

What's the difference between both of the ones listed? They look very similiar but the second one looks shorter in length.

When I got my spoiler lip put on, the worker at the Acura said it was a "piece of shit spoiler". It uses two bolts and 3m sticky tape to be on your trunk..........if that helps any

BTW after shipping costs its about $300 with a paint option. i think you can get that at the dealer for that price not installed when you buy your car. and remember its not a real acura part its a replica

Don't do it yourself unless you have done something similar before!!! The Acura worker said that they make precise measurements for 30 minutes before drilling....if they drill in the wrong place your screwed and need to buy a new trunk top thing. I'd just pay a little extra and have the dealer do it, this way if they do mess up, they'll replace it for free.....

i use to be on the bmw message board and someone got a spoiler from there. they use cheap fiber glass. its not bad at all but a little flimsy for my taste especially if you are getting the rear wing and not the lip. also the acura one has led brake light this one doesn't. i think its better to get genuine acura spoiler, it will save you the headache if it's not right. its gonna cost more but i think its worth it.

They give you precise measuring information to allow for an easy install. Also, a small template is included to help giude you a bit. My installer made the holes just a bit larger than they needed to be in order to make sure that he got the spoiler on and that it was centered. There are rubber washers attached where the bolts are so that no leakage will occur.

Only the wing spoiler has the LED...

As far as a do it yourself install, if you have the right drill bit, its really easy. Someone mentioned the dealer taking 30 minutes worth of measurment, what they meant was that they took 30 minutes more labor time in order to charge you a lot more cash. I watched my guy do the entire install in less than 20 minutes. All you need is a good grease pen or something to mark your measurements, and a ruler. Its really, really easy. But that was the decklid...if you are getting the wing, the install may be much more difficult. The measurements should be just as easy though. Another thing about the install, both spoilers come with a new trunk spring (assuming you go OEM). The decklid doesn't need it, but the wing does. The spring is best installed by a dealer.

BTW, definately go OEM, you can buy at acuraparts247.com
