Okay basically my trunk got damaged and I have found a replacecment at a reasonable price, however it is one with a wing spoiler!! I always see the wing on cars and ask why??!!
and now I am unfortunately restricted to getting one because of the bargain price of the trunk lid,
MY QUESTION IS IF I DO PURCHASE THIS TRUNK LID WITH THE WING SPOILER ARE THE MOUNTING HOLES IN THE SAME LOCATION AS NEEDED FOR THE DECK LID SPOILER/ TYPE S DECK LID SPOILER, or will any of them atleast be covered by the lip spoiler??

Has anyone done this change over wing spoiler to deck lid spoiler??
If so what is involved in the change over
Also if you have removed it what was the procedure/cost of doing so

 

Ummmm...... I believe that there are two holes on each side of the trunk holding the spoiler on and dont think that the deck lid spoiler will cover any of the holes. All you gotta do is look underneath of the trunk to see if there are nuts holding it in place. Take off the spoiler and measure the distance from the edge of the trunk to the holes that will probably give you a good idea of what your working with.

try trading the trunk to someone with a spoilerless trunk. i did that with my s2k and found someone right away who wanted the factory spoiler. and you can ask for a little cash since they are getting a spoiler.. then put whatever you want on the new trunk ..
