Not a clue. I think someone on the forums clocked the auto at 5.7 sec? I'd like to see some more official numbers though. Don't get me wrong, it would be awesome if it was 5.7 on auto, but I always see the glass as half empty.

I borrowed a TL-s for the day from a local dealer, I would be very surprised if it ran 0-60 in 5.7. It feels closer to 6.5 to me, but I am not a professional driver.

In contrast, I have driven the '07 G35 sport 5AT, and that does 0-60 clearly under 6 sec., but I have not seen an official road test.

I haven't really pushed mine so far, I only have about 400 miles on it, but from what I have read 0-60 in 5.6 and 1/4 mile in 14.3.

Someone over at the Temple of VTEC got 5.7/14.2, 5.7/14.3, 5.8/14.4 on an automatic TL-S. See this thread.

Based on test drives of both, I very much agree with this post. The Type S felt mid 6, the G35 felt mid 5.

Both cars had less than 100 miles on them, so maybe the scene changes after some miles are put on. I've seen little or nothing to prove/hint at that though.

Grass is always greener on the other side...enjoy what you have TL looks much better than G35 IMO. Besides, in about 3 years time, you will be ready to trade it for next gen with SH-AWD

test drive with someone in the car? like the other post the old tl did 6.4. I have a tl-s and got on average 5.7 with a timer through the obd port. So all you but dyno testers need to stop giving false readings to people who are looking to buy the car. You can not test a 0 to 60 with somone else in the car or when it has less than the breakin mile's. Again I got 5.7 on average.

The regular TL AT does 0-60 in 6.2~ 6.3 sec.
The regular TL 6spd MT does 0-60 in 5.8~ 5.9 sec.

The TL Type-S 6spd MT does 0-60 in 5.4~ 5.5 sec.

I don't have the data for Type-S AT but the review suggests it should be under 6 sec.

The '07 G35 6spd MT does 0-60 in 5.3~ 5.4 sec.

Whether it's auto or not the TL-S and 07 G35 are very close in 0-60 and quarter mile. It's down to the driver's skill.

I have heard a lot of case where people "felt" the '07 G35 is quicker because it's got more torque and has better take off from stand still. But that's not the whole story. The TL catches up as the RPM goes up. The weight of the car, the transmission of the car, and overall smoothness of the TL is very good. Guys, Horsepower and torque doesn't mean anything. The final result of the performance comes out different from differnt makers. The keyword here "feel" does not equate to actual performance.

oh and, the G35x is slower, much slower, because it's AWD. There's a large weight increase because of it. It is a basic rule that the AWD has slower 0-60 and quarter mile time. It only shines when you take off from stand still being four wheel drive and has better grip.
