A-spec special deal

I was just surfing around some Acura dealers websites and came across a special on the A-spec package. Just click on "new vehicles" and scroll down to the bottom of the page.

still not that great of a deal. Here is the breakdown of parts that you can find yourself on e-bay

Wheels ; $ 1200 shipped
Tires : $600 shipped
Suspension : $ 650 shipped
Body Kit: $800 shipped
Steering wheel : $ 325 shipped ( and is not even worth it)

Total parts: $3525 and NO TAX whereas they charge 8.75% sales tax in NY on their price of $ 3899 + $341 =$4240 OR if they do not charge tax when they ship to another state then the shipping will most likely be the same as the tax anyhow . SO $4240 -$3525 = $ 715 YOU SAVE by finding them yourself not to mention the money you save on installation yourself ( at least the body kit you can do as well as the steering wheel and tires and wheels)

Is it possible to only buy the suspension and body kit and have that dealer installed or are the wheelse neccesary to(I wouldnt think so). Also, What about the 4 piston brembos? Also, what would it cost to have them only install the suspension and body kit?

What I have been told by several Bay Area Acura dealers is that Acura does not part out the Aspec kit yet, but the dealerships will often split up the kits. They cannot, however, order just the springs or the kit from acura and leave out the rest. The guy I spoke with at Marin Acura told me that eventually acura might do something like that because I guess there was a high demand for the RSX spoiler so acura offered that in lieu of purchasing the whole aspec kit. There are several places on ebay (falconi, and one other) that will part out aspec kits.....call around, some might be willing to just install what you want.

i was under the impression that if you had an automatic and purchased the aspec kit then your front brakes were upgraded to the brembos.

NOPE, you only get upgraded PADS. The rotors and calipers are the SAME

Uh, you're almost right. The auto aspec kit includes new brake pads. Don't worry, they're almost as good as our brembos.
