A spec side skirts and rear

Did quite a bit of searching, and haven't found any threads that aren't 10+ years old.

I know these parts are discontinued- but I find it hard to believe Acura sold all of them. Anyone have some knowledge on where these still might exist for sale? I've looked at ebay (don't often see them, and when I have they are ludicrously priced) and have contacted several salvage yards who seemly had cars with them, but they have all been gone by the time I got in contact.

Seen to many threads where folks bitch about the terrible quality of the Duraflex stuff, so I don't want to go that route.

Anyone advice or info is greatly appreciated!

They only available from salvage yard or someone hoarding it for a long time.

When you do find one, be ready to pay the premium. I saw a Type S kit (front, side and rear) sold for $2200 regularly. At this point salvage yard and pull a part is your best friend. GL

It would close to impossible to find a NOS Type S Aspec rear lip and skirts.

The rear lip alone have $1k asking price for a used one. 😲

You're also going to have to stay very active in all of the Acura TL groups on Facebook. If anyone has an A-Spec part for sale, that's where it will probably be posted. You're just going to have to get past all of the trolls and bros who post nonsense and complain about everything.

I bought my 2004-06 Nighthawk Black Pearl A-Spec kit in 2015 via Bruce at EndlessRPM. Since that time, I decided I that I liked the Type-S front and rear better, so once the Type-S front lips came back from the dead, I bought one from Delray Acura.

After probably three years searching for a rear Type-S lip in decent quality (that I figured I'd have to paint match) I stumbled upon seller who actually had a brand new rear lip that had been sitting in his garage. I battled with some other buyers, but eventually settled on a price of $1,800. I also had to make three-hour drive to go pick it up. Call me crazy, but I knew I'd probably never have another chance like this, so I went for it.

$1800 wow, that's insane. Thats way too much if you ask me. I remember buying the entire kit (painted) from Bruce for $790 USD SHIPPED TO CANADA back in the day!!!

What are you gonna do I guess? Supply & demand.

A former TL owner local to me selling Type S aspec as a kit avg $2500, so far he sold like 5 kit already. Oh well not everyone want to pay that price but I am understand as both of my rear lip cost under $500 its either patient or pay out.

That's because back in the day the A-spec kit was available, unlike today it's discontinued. 4th gen TL owners are going through the same thing now as well. Supply and demand my friend. That's why whatever limited A-spec pieces left are selling so high. $1,800 for a complete kit is actually a great price to be honest.

If someone wants it bad enough they will pay the price. It's a sellers market right now with everything.

I was on the fence about the kit until I saw one in person. I really like it, but not at those asking prices.

It's kind of odd that Honda is only making the front lip and not the rest of the kit. I wonder what's the reasoning behind that decision. It would be hilarious to see the used market crash if Honda suddenly started to re-release the rest of the kit.

^ Pretty much this...I do have the front lip on my 08 6MT (lucked out having a NBP car, just ordered a NBP lip roughly 7 months ago and put on, no paint work etc) but the rear and side "kit" are just "meh" to me, I would maybe entertain the idea of getting the rears and sides to complete the kit and match the front lip but not for the $ they are getting. I just don't think it's all that, but I get the demand/interest. Hey different likes etc..I'm holding out for a Type S CF steering (needle in a haystack) wheel lol.
