A-Spec kit without side skirts?
Hey guys...
just signed the papers to my new 2008 KBP TL TypeS!
My question to all you experts...
I honestly couldnt tell much of a difference in pictures of the stock side skirts and the a-spec sides, so i only had the dealer order the front and rear lips.
anyone sporting this combo, have any pics? Is it really worth it to get the skirts or should it look fine with the stock ones?
Here's what i'm trading in for my Type-S, im really excited to get into the TL, i'll be parting out my Si all week long! The HFP kit on my Si was a drastic change for the side skirts....but again, cant really tell the diff on the TL.

yeah, i know the TL-S side skirts are already a bit more aggressive than normal TL sides... just want to make sure the whole car flows together.
if anyone has pics of just the front and rears that would be perfect. thanks for the opinions so far!

The A-Spec kit is a pretty subtle kit to begin with. I actually wondered the same thing. I installed my whole bodykit first and left 1 side skirt for last to compare one side with the other just for curiosity's sake. I wish I had taken pictures.
There is not too much difference, Shape and contour-wise it is just the same. It's just that the stock sides tuck in a bit and the A-Spec ones are more pronounced and flat. You can technically get away with not doing them as the front and rear pieces do most of the dramatic difference to the look of the car.
In terms of flowing with the car it does flow better with the A-Spec side skirt because it is designed to have a continuous flow with the front and back. So even though it is not a necessary item, I still think it looks better and more complete.

...maybe someone else does?

To tell the truth, I can barely see a difference between the stock TL-S and the A-Spec.
Except the front under spoiler/lip, which IMHO is
on the TL-S. The standard A-Spec front looks better on the '04 - '06; the TL-S just looks like .... too much.
