A-Spec kit

I have an NBP 06 MT and I am considering adding the a-spec package. For those of you that already have it, can you tell a difference? If so, what ? Also what price did you get it for and what exactly do you get with the package? I just want to know whether its worth the money. Thanks for your input.

My opinion - - it is a must. Makes the car look so much better. It also gives it an "artificial" lowering effect.

Not to change the original topic, but, has anyone on here painted the bottom of the rear A-spec piece to color match their vehicle? I don't know why but the bottom of the that piece is grey and it bothers me. (grey area that travels around the exhausts). I went on my lunch break today to get an estimate for it to be colormatched. Any thoughts?

Thats the reason I didnt put the rear underbody on until about a month after the rest of the kit, but now i love it. It's grown on me. What color is your car?

In my opinion it would be best painted NBP, not the same color of the car. If you have NBP I would leave it gray. I have an '06 RRP and was thinking about getting the a-spec kit, painting the gray areas NBP and blacking out the headlights with NBP. I could probably get away with not using a pearlescent coating but I think it would be better to stick with factory Acura colors.

I was thinking the exact same thing. My car is AM and it doesn't stand out as much. If it was black, then it would.

As far as the package goes, the most notable performance difference is the A-Spec suspension. I love mine and it feels like the car is on rails. And you've already been told about the asthetic difference. It really adds to the sportiness of the car.

Nektar, it is definitely noticeable, especially at the front and rear of the car. The A-Spec body kit will add a lip to the factory front and rear bumpers and replace the side skirts.

You can buy it in a package or individually (front lip only for instance). Tim at hondacuraworld.com is a vendor on here and will give you a good price.

Most on here have bought the kit and installed it themselves. It is very doable. We have several threads with instructions and such. Just check out The 3G Garage

For pictures of cars with and without the kit (as well as the RonJon body kit) check out this thread: TL Picture threads.

HMM IDK how it would look on a WDP. If your car was a dark color I would've said go for it but idk... I kinda like the contrast it gives the WDP though.

the kit consist of a front underbody spoiler, sides, and rear. if you're interested in the entire package, correct me if im wrong.. it comes with the underbody spoiler kit, 18" aspec rims, an aspec steering wheel, 1 of two spoilers(decklid or wing), and aspec suspension that lowers your car about 1" and YES it makes a big difference..

im down one step since i just got the aspec wheels yay

Thanks for the great info guys. I will contact Tim at Hondaworld. Do most of you just have the aero kit or the rest of the A-spec kit also? I saw the post on the improved performance, can anyone else give me an example of the improved performance?

Since you have an MT, your sway bar is already way better than the AT guys. However, your stock suspension won't allow you to hug the roads like A-Spec or other aftermarket suspsensions will. I've read on here by some members how stock suspension makes them feel floaty when they make sharp turns. It's really like night and day. The only problem I have with the A-Spec suspension is that it doesn't drop the car low enough. Had it been 1" all around, that would've been perfect.

Oh, the A-Spec kit isn't complete without a lip spoiler, especially the Type S spoiler. I think it looks better than the other one.

I actually had mine put on today. Little pricey for those parts in my opinion but I do admit it looks great on the car. I'm also getting new tires/wheels to go with it that should arrive any day (Stern St-1s) so I'll be posting pics of my WDP with the A-Spec spoilers in the "Tires Wheels, & Suspension" section of Acurazine. Go for it if you can afford that pricey plastic.

Xx06SickspdTlxX...your ride looks real tight. Good pictures.
