depends on how much your purchasing the aspec kit for, there have been group buys for like $600 if im correct, otherwise even still 1000$ for the kit. and it takes maybe an hour to intsall? so id say that seems quite high.

My dealer quoted me about $1100 for kit and install. $1600 too high. I'm looking for a good deal and missed the March group buy.

ZRock-my suggestion....get another bid, on paper. Take it to the original dealership and tell them to match the 2nd bid.

good question OP, body kit or suspension?

but im guessing body kit and if it is, that price WAY too high. buy it for $779 with the group buy and install it yourself on a lazy saturday afternoon

It does not take an hour to install the kit.

1600 is a lot of cash. Look at the instructions and set aside an afternoon. You should be able to take care of it yourself.

You can get the body kit for <$800 and install it yourself in a few hours.
You could probably get a local AZine member to install it for you for a few bucks too.

Avoid the dealership

Same here. I've installed a few kits and even if the car were on a lift it would still take well over an hour. I'd realistically quote three or four if I was writing a service order, just to ensure everything is done well. You don't need to be blindly drilling holes in order to shave 1/2 hour off the labor time.

dont go to dealership for any modification to your car dude..they rip you off BIG time...

I just bought the a-spec kit on a group buy here last week for 775..painted and shipped to my house..and there is plenty of people that are here and plenty of threads available that you can refer to and install it yourself...

If you havnt bought it yet, the group buy is extended till end of April. contact the vendor and they ll hook you up nice..

depends on if your doing it yourself or not. mine took about an hour but i had Melvin and jordan (Rooki) help me and they both have done it before.

by your self and no1 to help could take several hours...

i suggest looking at how to take your front a rear bumper off in the Garage sticky thread

If A-Spec suspension and the Body kit are included in the cost of $1600 then it is a good deal.

If it is only body kit, do it yourself and save the $$.

Of course if you had two other people helping you it would take less time. I'd still quote 3-4 hours labor if I were writing up the service order.
