Hey fellow Acuraziners I'm looking to add the front lip A-Spec bumper kit to my current stock 2008 Type S bumper. Is that even possible? If so, where can I order this specific A-Spec lip which will fit my current bumper? Thanks!

its been done many many times; this all depends on 1)how much you're willing to spend, 2)the color of your car and 3)where you are located.

if your car is silver, you are S.O.L. (means you cannot get it color matched) which drives the next 2 points, where you live you'd be looking at paying crazy amounts for shipping and then even more for painting... make sure you do your research though; I ask my fair share of questions, but i'm a new member here for less than 2 weeks and I feel like i know just as much as many ppl on here in regards to the aspec kits, lol. bruce@endlessrpm and hansel acura are 2 places you can get the kit. good luck.

 

Thanks silver shark! Looking more into this, now I am leaning towards getting a different after market bumper instead of getting the stock TLS bumper and adding the A-Spec lip. I want a more unique look so replacing the front bumper with a different style makes sense. I am now on the lookout for an after market front bumper for my TLS. Mine is black on black by the way. I just posted a few pics the other day. Thanks again and if you know of a nice looking after market bumper that will fit my ride let me know. I'm located in British Columbia, Canada.

 

I would like to see more info on front bumper as well. Stock TLS looks too dull for me. I also own black 08 TLS.

Not many aftermarket options for the TL bumper unforutnately. There WAS a Ron Jon kit for a while but i believe it's been discontinued.

I'm surprised people don't like the Aspec kit, I like that it's OEM but still sexy as hell and just aggressive enough.


If you're expecting a million aftermarket bumper combinations it may be time to sell your TL and get a rice rocket civic. This is an entry-level luxury sedan after all

 

The Type-S bumper alone is the cleanest look imo. Everything else is ugly.

 

Yeah the A-Spec kit is legit. I seen another front bumper which looks nice and aggressive. There is a pic of it on carid.com. Trying to figure out where to find it. I'll post a pic of it.

They sell the A-Spec front lip, side skirts, and rear underspoiler. its a bit pricey, but they ship pre-painted which is nice. I am going to order the front lip for my Type-S soon.
