A-Spec clarification...

I just spoke with 5 Acura dealerships (Parts/Service) and then called Acura Corporate (Client Services division) to confirm the A-Spec registration rumor.

When you order an A-Spec kit, you provide your VIN to 1) ensure that your vehicle is a candidate for the kit (Acura TL), 2) ensure that the correct kit type is ordered (5AT or 6MT), and 3) ensure that the correct color code is ordered.

Being registered as an A-Spec (whether VIN associated or with Acura corporate) is a farse. It will not show up in your Acura Owner's Link as an A-Spec.

So much for being part of an elite group. Oh wait, I am, I'm a TL owner!

So order your kits online for $3899.00 + $250.00 shipping, and have it shipped to your nearest low-cost labor Acura dealership.

Won't matter where you get it so, get it for the lowest price possible.

Me first.

Wow, not many responses. Guess the truth hurts. It's okay, I sat in my seat for a while sulking too.

I got over it like woman does, I bought stuff. A-Spec stuff to be specific.

I think most dealers would react to that just as if you brought a dozen eggs to Denny's and asked to have them cooked for you. I'd try a body shop and/or garage I trusted first.

I'm sure some dealers would come down to Curry's price, recognizing that they'd likely lose the install business (which is where they make their REAL money anyway).
