A-Spec Body Kit Self Installation

Has anyone install their own A-Spec body kit? How difficult is it and can an average Joe do it? Thanks!

As I have stated in past posts the kit is relatively easy to install. I have installed two one on my 04 and one on the 05 I traded my 04 for... I have little experience with bodywork or mechanical and I found it to be VERY easy install.

The first kit took about 10 hours because I was VERY carefull! Read the instructions multiple time, etc... The second install took about 5 1/2 hours... There is some drilling required, adhesive tape and mounting to stock locations. If I recall correctly I drilled 10 holes. Most of the holes are in place that if I took the kit off would never be seen. The only exception is on the back bumper you drill four holes that are plainly obvious without the body kit.

As a side note I did the work in my garage only pulling the car up on portable ($15) ramps for the front installation... And it was cold causing me to have to heat the adhesive to avoid gaps. It is better done in temparatures above 70degrees, if not be prepared to heat...

How hard is the install just for the side under body kit. From what I have heard the sides are the easiest compared to the back and front. Is there any drilling needed for the sides?

No drilling required for the sides. Just alot of snap in clips and screws in preexisting locations in the wheel well... The will take you 45 minutes to an hour...
