Too dumb not to share...
Sunday morning - I crawl outta bed, throw on whatever clothes are near me and toss on my jacket and head out the door to get my family some bagels and coffee etc. The day before I took my wheel to get it rebalanced as it was causing vibration after trying to snorkel in a large sinkhole on Rt 287. So I am driving to get the food with radio off and seeing how bad the wheel still is since the Hunter Machine showed it is bent and they tried compensate it best they could with some weights until I can replace it.
As I am drving I hear a rattle (the car has been pretty quiet to date @15k miles). The rattle sounds like it is in the dash to the left of the steering wheel - pretty much near my left hand as I drive. It almost sounded like something was really loose - I began to imagine a loose nut with a washer dangling somewhere. I was worried the increased vibration from the bent rim has caused something to work itself loose - oh that is just great I curse to myself.
I get to the bagel place and I take my fist and lightly pound on the dash - I am able to reproduce it - Great! sometimes that is half the battle. It almost sounded like it was coming from the left front speaker. So I reach up and press down with my left hand and then with my right hand lightly pound the dash to the right of the steering wheel. WTF!? The sound is now gone from the left and now seems like it is coming from the center speaker. So I do this a couple times, cause it is blowing my mind...it makes no sense.
As I run my cave-man like test again it hits me - I look at my left arm and then my right arm too....I never buttoned the snap of either sleeve of my leather jacket...its the @$%!& snaps making the noises!! So I make what would be a Tim Allen sound - and then grunt as I snap each cuff like I normally do when fully awake and run my test again...silence.
I decided instead of a small or medium coffee I better get the X-Large! Too stupid - yet too funny. Easiest rattle I have ever fixed - just have to learn how to dress myself.

lol
Now that is funny...
I recall when my GF unclipped the passenger sun visor and moved it to the side of the car. She moved it back but never pushed it back in to the clip that holds it in place. For about a day or two I was wondering where in hell is that noise coming from...

Thanks - I just contacted NJ DOT - I know they will laugh at me, but they should pay for some of this.

Hey, so I am not the only one...
When I bought my TL I was wearing a leather-band watch. About a month later I needed to get the battery replace so I put on my other watch with metal band.
So I left for work and when I got on the freeway, I started hearing this faint metal clicking sound. I said to myself "S$%#, I got one of those TL....."
I spent the next minutes desperately looking for the source of the noise but with no success.
I gave up and started rubbing my forhead with my right hand (I wear my watch on my right wrist), and later rest by hand on my forhead.
The rattle stopped. Then I realize it was the metal watch band, not the TL.
I was SO happy that I forgot my diet plan and went to IHOP for some REAL breakfast...
