Does anyone know a dealership that sells the A-Spec body kit for an 05 Anthracite Metallic TL? How much do those sell for now? I heard of issues with the paint matching for the Apec kit. Has anyone had any problems?

Also is the bumper different on A-Spec TL's?

The bumpers don't differ on aspec TL's really, its just an add-on lip. You can buy the kit for 799 shipped from tim at hondaacuraworld.com. The people with matching issues have driven their car a lot, so the enviromental paint differences come into play, but nothing a good polish and wax shouldn't fix.

Anthracite has a lot of color variation, maybe not as bad as the infamous WDP mismatch problem, but it's still there. I have seen the color with a little more brown it than usual, some with a very light green and others straight grey. (When I say slight or light I mean it is so subtle and minuscule it is only detectable in certain lighting conditions.) Mine has a little hint of blue than usual, and I really like it that way. When I bought my A-spec kit I noticed it had slightly less blue in it and a bit more brown in it so it is slightly off. The anthracite between my bumper, mirror and body are all slightly off too so I realize this is because all these parts were painted at different places at different times at the factory during assembly. It's true, think about it, they don't all go into the same paint booth on the assembly line. My car is HARDLY out in the sun and garaged every single day.

I have also noticed that anthracite differs greatly between different vehicles. At a meet I compared a few. I saw one car which was so different than mine even though both our cars are 2006 anthracite. His A-Spec lip was slightly blue. In reality if we had swapped bodykits we would have a perfect match!! But none of this is major enough for me to complain so I am OK with it.

So anyone else who has an absolute perfect match on their bodykit is just lucky.

I have a AM 04 TL with the A-Spec kit and the color difference is pretty bad. I was thinking about ordering another kit and selling this one but I'm broke. It's really hit or miss. I've only seen a few AM TL's with a perfect match.

I have a Antracite Metallic body kit and it matches the rest of the car perfectly. IMO it depends on attention to detail that the dealer uses when matching the kits.
