Lightbulb A-SPEC, Bluetooth, DVD's, and TINT 04 Models

I am a current 02 TL-S Owner waiting for my new 04 ABYSS BLUE/CAMEL w Navi to be delivered. Very excited will be picking up my car on Dec 19th. I read the forum about the problems getting cars with Navi. My dealer said it is true that Acura underestimated the Navi production. I just got lucky they happened to order the car I wanted for their inventory.
I have 4 Questions
1. Has anyone used the bluetooth technology for cellphone. If so so how is it? How well does it work? And which phone service do you use? Also can it integrate w/ personal PDA's and things like that.
2. Has anyone heard more info on the A-SPEC for Automatics. I have read in a few places that they are going to make it available in the second quarter of 04. My dealer confirmed it will be available. My question is can dealers upgrade or not? Or must it come from the factory
3. Does anyone have good sights or stores in the NYC area that a good selection of DVD-A's.
4. With regards to tint, I was under the impression all satellite and radio links were in the antenna located just above the rear window. If not, is it in the windows? and would it in fact interfere if the windows were tinted. My dealer says no but I would like your guys comments

Peace

Scott

Regarding 4, I'm somewhat confused, too. I thought GPS was in one location and the other location contained the XM. One location was the antenna on top of the car, the other I believe was somewhere on the rear window (?). Metallized tinting would affect whatever was in the or near the rear window. I think it was GPS, now that I think about it.

For what it's worth, I went ahead and tinted it after a local tint shop that does tinting for an Acura dealer said metallized tinting hasn't caused any problems that have been reported yet. I used Llumar Centaur tint. I haven't noticed any problems with XM or GPS yet.

XM and GPS shoud both be through the antenna on the roof, the AM/FM radio antenna is integrated into the rear window and will lose reception with metalized tint.

Why would the AM/FM radio antenna be effected? The tint is on the inside of the car so the antenna isn't covered.

The manual states that the GPS antenna is in the rear deck near the rear window. The "knob" on top is for XM radio only.

So, tinting the windows can cause some type degradation of the signal that needs to get inside the rear deck.

I have no idea if that claim is true or not. Time will tell.

I don't know this for a fact, but I've heard the GPS antenna is in the rear deck (with the speakers and subwoofer) and that is why you don't want metalized tint films as it interfers with the GPS signal. The antenna on the outside (the little box above the rear window) is just the XM radio antenna. The radio antenna is part of the defroster in the rear window.

Can anyone confirm this?

Owners manual does say that "some" tint can interfier with Navi as the antena is on the rear deck.
