Talking A-SPEC anyone?

I saw an overview of the A-SPEC package on ESPN today. They noted that for $5,200 plus installation you get a new suspension & tires, brembos (for the Autos) new spoilers/skirts, new steering wheel, plus a couple of other additional details.

There is word at http://www.rsportscars.com/eng/cars/acura_tl_a-spec.asp that it will be available in November.

So is anyone going to make the investment?

I think that's the Chicago Auto Show on ESPN today... and, last Nov, A-Spec officially started to sell.

A-spec have a high performance brake pads but I doubt it gets a Brembo system.

That $5,200 is still hard to take considering it's mainly for "cosmetic" upgrades. On some other car brands, that amount of money means a difference between a V-6 and a V-8.

Yeah, for that money, the kit should at least include some HP mods.

Keep in mind that is only for the parts. I don't know what labor would run, but I'd guess a couple of grand.

Right, no Brembo for 04TL... only red-color-edged High Performance Brake Pads...

You really need to search the threads...the ASPEC subject has literally been beat to death. I'm an ASPEC owners...there are pros and cons...if you really want the dissertation from an ASPEC owner, I'll give you one, there are several of us on this forum, if not, and your mind is up made to not get one, then enjoy your stock TL, it is still a great car

what year is it on this board? Was this thread put in with 04 instead of 2003?

Search is your friend

Aspec seems like way too much money for me. Can't imagine you are going to get much of that money back when you sell it. Looks nice though

6MT comes with Brembo. The A-Spec kit adds this to the AT.

Right, I should said it clearly. Only 6MT or 6MT A-Spec come with Brembo.

BTW, the search feature is still not working well...
