The TL's sound system as great as it is sometimes has a tendency to sound muffled at times. Has anyone else noticed or observed this problem? Would anyone recommend installing something like Dynasheild to at least minimize any potential distortion? I have a friend that swears by this stuff! I must admit their was a definite sound difference in his 2000 Jag S Type. He replaced his stock speakers with Infinity speakers and added the Dynashield to it. Nevertheless, it was a noticable sound improvement.

 

Muffled? Have never experienced that with mine. Is it with just CDs/DVDs or with the radio too. Maybe you have a bad unit.

 

The mufffling has to do with what material your playing. Go to XM channel 7 good tunes muffled sound. Switch to XM channel 8 the muffling disappears! the reason is the source Although all XM is digital Not all XM channels have adigital 'source" Digital can only be as good as the original recording. Remember the CD, AAD, ADD and DDD? its the same thing. What is incredible about this radio is that for the first time in a car there is a radio that has the sound resolution to enable the listener to discern those subtle differences!
