Angry sooo....yeah i got pulled over

just got back from nyc and i was pulled over right in the center of times square
i had all my windows down with the sun roof open and got pulled over for having my windows tinted.....the crazy thing is that i had all my windows down for about 6-8 blocks so im wondering how the hell did he know i had tinted windows.....he told me to roll up my windows and then had that little tint measure device......also i got a question for anyone whos gotten this ticket....how much is it?....theres nothing on this ticket indicating how much i have to pay.....and i got a permit from the dmv saying that i have to have tints on my car because of my eyes being too sensitive the front two and the windshield......................off to a GREAT weekend.

Did you have the permit with you? Must be a fix it ticket, never had a fix it ticket from another state before. Sounds like dude just wanted to be an asshole and didn't have anything to stop you on in the first place so he had to give you something...I hope your white cause now you see what us black guys go through on a regular basis. Can't count the number of times I've been pulled over just because, one time I got a ticket for not having my seatbelt on. The problem was I did and the cop said I didn't and I slipped it on when he hit his lights on.

Haha! I knew that was going to happen and I knew that damn excuse wouldn't work! Oh yeah, the ticket shouldn't be a fee I don't think. I think they just make you take it off and show the car so that they know it's been done! At least that's how it goes in Maryland!

Man, I'm never going thru that hassle just to tint the front! Not worth it to me. Are you going to redo it after this is over?

As a fellow American....I am sorry you have to go through that shit man. Its a result of paranoia and ignorance and nothing more. Cops overreact on the error of safety most of the time which frankly....IMO...tends to stomp on the rights of some people in the process. I watch them pull over people behind my house all the time, if they are minorities....for some odd reason their trunk is always opened and checked. Ticks me off every time I see it. (they rescued a kidnap victim once that way...so now everybody is suspect of it I guess?) I guess since people dont have anything to hide its no big deal...but seems unfounded if you ask me. Just because you are a minority doesnt mean you are guilty of something, and I am white as casper man....so I am not bitching out of experience.

Every single window on his car is tinted. That is just asking to get pulled over. There isn't a cop in this country who wouldn't stop a car with every single window tinted.

If you have the permit, just phone in and tell them, then fax over the permit. You shouldn't have to pay anything. It's just 5-0 being 5-0.

Btw, what school do you go to? Rutgers? I've been seeing more and more TLs around campus lately. Luckily, mine is modded, so it stands out.

Cops over do it...but I rather them take too many precautions then not do their job at all like some of these airport xray screeners that don't even look at the screen half the time because they're too busy talking to their friend or something.

I know....and tend to agree with you....but does it take five or six cops for this simple task? Thats what I was talking about....the over-reaction of them due to his name....not the fact he got pulled over to begin with. Heck...we ALL saw that coming a LONG time ago!!

i was stopped at a light in the right lane and as the light changed a cop stepped in front of my car and waved at the cars behind me to go around me and then told me to go up the block and pull over and then walked up to my car and took my stuff.

IF a doctor gave you a written excuse to drive with illegally tinted windows (which in fact...he doesnt have that right to circumvent the law like this) it would be noted on your drivers license as a "restriction" kind of like.....must wear glasses or something like that. Being your eyesight is that bad that you would require such, if it was approved formally, most likely would come with the added restriction that you could NOT drive at night period due to the added danger of driving with front tinted windows. They cannot put the general public in danger like that just because of a disability. It has to be applied in a reasonably safe venue.....and at night with front tinted windows with a guy that has eyes that require this is not exactly that. Not baggin ya....just dont think the written excuse is going to hold water unless it is noted already on your drivers license.

i didnt get a ticket but it wasted my time lol oh well... at least hes trying to protect people.
