Something new to read...

Well, I was headed out of getting my hair cut, and I was waiting to join the one lane road, when an all black new Civic SI roars on by- well, luckily their were no cars behind him, so I pull out and catch up. We both were turning L at the next light, so I had it in SS (wish i had 6MT) and just waiting to see if he was going to do anything....he downshifted (heard) then punched it, so did I and I was immediately on his ars- he then let off, and we had to split ways- he had an exhaust, and who knows what else- Perhaps he was intimidated, but I believe he would have been surprised how he would have held up right?? Anyway, thumbs up as always, and just giving you all something new to read- those SI's are quick though right, I mean, would it have been a walk?

I think a well driven one would be a close race.

Maybe from a roll, but from a dig they would get a better start.

^ doubt it, Si's make all their power and torque up high. With less than 140 tqs, I doubt it'll take anthing from a dig.

Its all about power to weight ratio. many si's are running 2.160fts stock which is slightly better than a TL-S 5AT can do.

I think the 5AT S would pull slightly top end. From a dig, I think the SI may edge out until 3rd gear. A 6MT would make the SI look foolish, unless heavily modded.

TheWanderer: You have a lot of mods lol

I still haven't had the chance to play with an SI. I did see one on the other side of the highway awhile back, racing a regular cab Hemi Ram, and it looked like a fairly close race.

I dunno, in my personal opinion SI's kinda suck. They look ok (if you like alien looking grills). but you have to heavily modify an si to get it to compete, especially if 4 door. I've raced both 4 door and coupe. They get owned withen seconds. No offense to SI owners, I used to be one. TLs RULE!
