odd part is you would think they would see it isnt a 3.5???? I wonder if the dealer did this... and not the previous owner...

+1 on the wheels though.
Damn I looked at it again and that person made a fortune. At first I was telling myself it looks great because I personally don't like the TYPE-S A-spec but then I looked again and the exhaust was put to a base, tails + sides were base, rims were base, headlights were base, both front/rear bumpers were base with base A-spec kit and since the front bumper is base the front grill is the base. Who can't forget the fact that he kept the fogs with the TYPE-S front bumper. This guy made probably a quick $1500 swapping these parts over. The rims and exhaust swap alone brought in around 1k...

that's a lot of work just to make it look like a TL-S.
owner probably sold the TL-S parts and swapped it for base parts thinking he can get more out of it that way.

Why? The 04-06 manuals came stock with the brembos..

Perhaps the former owner wanted more of a sleeper, too.

VIN says it's a Type-S.
19UUA76587A032758
Thing is besides the wheels, bumpers, etc, it's got the Type-S pedals and more importantly guage cluster. Most "normal" people wouldn't change the guage cluster, let alone the VIN plate(s). (edit, not sure that is TL-S cluster on further review).
Vid says it's 3.5L but no engine bay photos.
I also thought the Taupe/Ebony interior with the Leather/CF/Alum door insert was Type-S exclusive. ??
The VIN really throws me off though.
Edit: wonder if it was salvaged/rebuilt?

Why does the vin throw you off? This is a Type S there is no question about that, its just that either the car was a lease return or someone decided to rob the shit out of the dealership before trading in and traded with someone for bumpers headlights taillights and exhaust to make extra money because some dealerships might not even notice, or even carmax probably wouldn't notice if they then sent the car to auction and this dealer bought it.
Ahhh.
I thought they were "faking" a Type-S.

if the vin already says UA7 then its a type s, no doubt. no one is going to forge a VIN on every panel of the car and do the interior gauges too but keep the 04-06 exterior.

Maybe the dealer/seller read this thread.
Or got an email/message from someone who did?
