damn, it's been alot of work, but it's coming along as planned. these are preliminary #D designs of the kit, purely conceptual. there obviosly will be a few changes and there is going to be a preforated metal sheet where the grille and intakes are. a darker color can be ordered with a brushed aluminum mesh and a lighter color can be had with a flat black finished mesh. I hope you like.

Hmm... the car will look like it has breasts. You'll definitely want to purchase a bra.

maybe I'm partial since I did the design, but I love it. i want to build something aggressive that looks different from OEM. I may tone down the intake openings, but I know once the whole kit is done, and wheels are added, it will look badass. thanks for the feed back.

ron,
I think you need to break up the vertical space in the middle of the front clip. There is a very strong vertical statement that isn't answered with a horizontal until the bar running through the grille. Also, I think you should move the grille forward so it sits flush with the headlights for a more consistent look.

Ron,
Your designs look really good.
I like the front in this pic you posted in this pic better because it doesn't make the front so "flat looking".
it looks like you incorporated most of it beside that.
Your pursuit in finding the right body kit and asking our opinons to me shows the respect you have for the car.
That being said, you have a customer in me once you are ready to go.

ck37, there is a motivation to make products available for acura vehicles that surpasses profit margins, for me this reason is pure fun. I'm gonna build what we want and what better way to do so than to post in a car club like this. I heard the opinions and I am making adjustments, but the overall design will be close to this. i may want to step away from the TLconcept and do something a little more original while maintaining class and integrity for the TL lines. by the way, this is a work in progress until the majority are loving it.

THis one doesn't look too bad but I would not buy it tho. The one above I don't like too. A body kit should flow with the car and to make the car look more aero dynamic rather than something that makes it looks clunky. I would say back to the drawing board. Although, I do appreciate someone out there is planning to make a body kit for the car.

Hey all.
Ron,
I combined my suggestions with some of the elements form the idea I posted before so you can get a better idea of what I'm talking about. I think it's starting to shape up pretty well.
This reminds me more of a more aggressive Audi S style. I like that.

nice work Ron, I like your prototypes (as prototypes), keep refining them and you'll have cool product(s).
It would be nice to leave space somewhere for fog lights in the bumper.

blufox, I maded the floor mats with diamond cut sheets and a little silcon to glue them to the stock mats. I did a little fine tuning and made the kit a little more subtle. toned down the lines a bit but kept the overall look the same. I like flanagan's design direction, but I am obviously going to like mine better, heh. so here is the adjusted kit. I'm doing the sides and rear soon too. I'm going to model the car in an anthracite paint finish with the ronjon wheels for presentation purposes. Wait till you guys see the whole thing, it's gonna look better finished completely.

Ron, I like it. Nice touch with the mesh.
Where are these mats everyone is talking aobut?
Are you going to have the nose come out a bit or make it flat. In looking at the pics it looks really good with nose having that line go through the center. adds nice depth.

Looking good ! I say round off the nose ( soften the line ) so it doesnt come to such a sharp point , slope the nose to 9instead of flat )make more aero dyn. so the cars stays classy but adds aggression , and last close the intake openings slightly ...... just my .02

ron,
That's looking much better. You are resolving your lines and surfacing very effectively. The scale of the bumper openings works much better with that grille than the larger size.
Sean
PS Check your PMs

there you go! - perfect (in my opinion...)
I could probably add white LED bars on each bottom opening
as fog lights and it would be super!
thanks for your efforts.

If it only looks good, but isnt functional, the car will overheat in the hotter climates.

The first two renderings are pure rice.
This one owns:
I'm assuming it's the same kit though.
BTW, the wheels kick ass. How much for a set of 19" Inspyre chrome, with tires?

Could you put the Chrome on in the pic, see how it looks
