depends on the miles and condition of the car...lots of factors and 5 years from now, anything can happen to the vehicle

According to some numbers I've read on the 06 TL, it's value after 5 years 75k miles is about 37% of the MSRP. So 35.8k ==> 13.3k for an '06 TL w/nav.

These values don't change drastically for the top rated entry luxury vehicles. I think you can assume +/- 1% from this value. That is, unless some awesome hybrid technology comes out and poopifies the used non-hybrid car market.

Usually about 40% or MSRP.

But it really depend on the economy and other factors.

Like in Canada, due to high $cdn. There are lots of US imported used cars which I would say dropped the used car prices by about 30% compare to what it should have been,

or help us right?- I mean if it is not well taken like the RL- and TSX to some buyers then I believe that the 3rd Gen will hold strong due to its georgous front facia- makes sense right?

I know this is a little off topic....but BLACKURA_NY, in your avatar, is that a pic of your TL? If so what body kit do you have on the bumper of the TL? That looks really sweet.

Also Mastervec if you got 17+ out of your car with almost 100k miles on that, man that is one hell of a sale for you man. I don't know many cars that will sell for 15+ plus with a ton of miles. Nice sale.

Yea man...seriously...you got an awesome price for that car man.... Here in the tristate area, you wouldn't get more than 15k for a 100,000 mile TL. especially with all the news about certain 04 TL's having that tranny problem.

Looks to me like the OEM Type-S A-Spec rear.

Yep, $17.5 for a nearly 100K mileage TL! WOW! I was hoping to get $19K for mine with only 50% of those miles (43,600 right now) in an outright sale. Looks like I may be able to shoot for $20K now. I'll just point anyone interested in it back to this thread....subscribed...

is it just me or is there a colour mismatch between the rest of the car and rear bumper?

Good move on selling it right before the timing belt job is due.

Yes- This is very common and most visible on WDP. Numerous threads on here about it. Its either the parts get painted at different factories or the paint holds differently to the different types of plastic vs metal.

Could it be the lighting reflected on a clean car? My blk TL is dirty as hell so you won't find any color mismatch whatsoever ... LOL

unless the 4G TL turns out to look like the new RL and new TSX which would put it into the "ugly as shit" category....

I think Acura recommends the timing belt change at 7 yrs or 105k, whichever comes first? Correct me if I'm wrong here .... but somehow i did push my luck to 130k before i did that on my 00 TL ...

Excatly what I am banking on. I have owned a few 3G TL, now on my second 08 Type-S, I was going to get a G35, but I realized how near perfect the 08 Type-S and got another one. Figure I'll go another year, see what the 4G TL brings, I suspect it will have that fugly front that the 09 TSX and RL are getting and may have people wanting some decent 3G TLs. Then I hope G37 sedan with 7 speed auto is here in 09 and I'll jump to Infiniti then. Wouldn;t touch a year one TL from a mile away after my poor expieriences with my 04 TL.

Yup, the Maintenance Minder will call for a code 4 around 105k for a timing belt change. At that time, it's required that you replace the timing belt and spark plugs. Usually, it's recommended that you also replace the drive belts, water pump, timing belt tensioner, and coolant. The total bill ends up being about $1000.

Yeah, every WDP I have seen has this issue with the bumpers not matching.

I was happy to get $17,500 for the car.....though I just paid $20k/plane ticket/gas to get it home just last August. The car had 83k on it then.
