So I heard that we can ask Meguiar to setup a detailing class. It sounds very intersting and I'm wondering if people are interested in it. If enough people are, I will go ahead and contact Meguiar to see if they can do such event for us. The location of the class is probably at their headquarter down in Irvine, CA. I believe each class can hold 30 people but I'm not sure if we have to pay for it or not. If you are interested, sign in here please. I'm probably looking for ~20 people who are interested before I will contact them. Thanks.

We had these b4. Maybe if it's moved to the meets section there will be more interest. I haven't been able to make it to one. I heard they are free and last all day. Very good class and you get some free stuff too. Depending on the date I would try to go.

I went to the last Acurazine class. It was a good class and free. They feed you pizza and unlimited soda and water. They also give you freebies at the end of the class. I believe the class begins at 8 till 3.

The class discusses about using the dual action polisher, removing swirls, applying different chemicals, claybar, etc. It also shows you the different products they have. At the end of the class, you can place an order for a discount and free shipping.

If we are to have this class again, I'll be very interested to go again.

We have severals Meguiars detail class for Acuraziners before. The class is on every Saturday (most Saturday except holidays and special events: SEMA, trade shows). Class is free if you are a member of Meguiars online forum; otherwise you have to pay $30. Like other said, this class has tone of information and very good knowledge with hand on practice on how to keep your car shine like show car. I personally attend few of these class including Thursday night open garage clinic and I learn so many things that I keep coming back at least once a month!

Here is the available Sat that we can request for the class in 2007 and 2008. The rest of Saturday are already filled by various car club around So Cal. Let me know if you guys want me to set up a date for Acurazine, or you can sign up as a member of Meguiars online forum and shot Mike Phillips a PM to request for the class.

In addition to Sat detail class, Meguiars also open Thursday night clinic where you can come to Meguiars headquarter in Irvine from 5:30pm to 10:00pm to try out new products or use any products from Meguiars that you haven't try before. You also have opportunity to learn how to use machine like PC, rotary, cyclone, etc.. and ask the expert how to correct some paint defect. The clinic is free and open to everyone. Pizza for dinner also provide. The only thing they require is you are a member of Meguiars online forum (www.meguiarsonline.com).

From what I know, for those who live outside So Cal, you can request detail class in your area and professional detail person from Meguairs will come to your area to teach basic detail class if you have enough people will attend, a place for class (try to get sponsor from autoshop), and possible pay a nominal fee.

Again, I highly recommend for those who live around Irvine or have a chance to come down to So Cal go to one of the Sat detail class. To tell the truth, if you live far away and send an email to Mike Phillips, he will add your name to any Sat class event you are not a member of that car club.

There really isn't an issue finding people that will be interested. Its finding an opening at Meguiar's for us.

At any rate, this is in the wrong forum. My suggestion is to contact Mike Phillips (if he's still there) to set up a class. Once that is settled, post a thread in the AcuraZine Clubs & Meets thread and people will come.
