- Delivery date: 10/17. Spoke to my dealer today, he now says around 10/10. :wow:
- Nighthawk Black Pearl / Ebony, 6MT, Navi. Haven't decided on the woman to go along with it yet though.
- I'll try my best to get them to trim something off MSRP... free accessories, something.

I put down $500 dollars just days after finding the TL on the web(2 weeks ago). This is my first Acura. I have been driving the same Chevy truck for the last 8(+) years and 166,600 miles.
I was told there is very little wiggle room on the price. I feel with placing a deposit the dealer should come off the price a little based on the 3% dealer holdback. Anyway, I will drive away happy even if I pay MSRP.
I am still being told my vehicle will arrive on the 6th of October, I ordered the AT, No Navi, Anthracite, and Camel interior.

I just dont wanna leave a deposit on a car that I haven't seen yet, I want to wait few months so I can see if they get more bugs fixed and get the next allotment...
And I am still confused on colors, so I have to see it when it comes before I order

Come on.... You're sticking with the Avalon, aren't you?

Don't knock an Avalon. I have a 2003 new TL-P and it's a great car...that being said, my wife's 2002 Avalon XL has a significantly smoother ride than the TL. The Avalon has the most interior room of its this near-luxury class.
Wait til you have the price of the 2004 TL...the Avalon might look a lot better if the TL goes for 33k+

The point I was making is... I am betting he does not get the TL.

I am trying to see past the hype, and have been waiting to test drive the car before I put a deposit down. Even so....I'm tempted to put down a refundable $1k deposit on the car...it IS refundable if I don't like the car, and I'm pretty sure they'd sell it to someone else!
If I do decide to buy, I hope it's delivered prior to winter...I'd like a LITTLE time to play with it before winter starts around here.
As for the Avalon...I don't like the way it looks. Not flaming, but just don't like it. If I were buying a Toyota, I'd rather get a Camry, which I think is not a bad looking car.

LOL, first of all I have a 1998 Avalon, I dont have it because I was looking for a Top of the line car, we got it because we really needed a car and we found a good deal.. The Avalon is closest u can get to the ES300, same frame, same engine, same suspension, same almost everything..
It has a smooth ride and the handling is incredible, but for now till I get my 04TL I will be driving that

$500 refundable deposit on the Abyss blue metalic/Quartz interior with Navi. I expect to pay MSRP (hopefully get something in return like accessories...possibly a deal on the 18" rims) Expect it mid-october. I can't decide if I want blue or silver. I have a dealer with 2 silver/navi's not yet reserved. What do you guys think?

I was 100% set on the Abyss Blue, then saw the black rotors on the 6MT and thought SSM of NBP would be a better match. I'll probably end up with SSM again. I also want the grey rims, and am not sure how they would look with anthracite.

I have a $100 (yes 100) refundable deposit on a pearl white / quartz 6spd MT with Navi on order, early Nov delivery.
My first ordered car is comming in Oct as an Auto thanks to the manual delay. (just got in under the wire for the second allocation thanks to the fast news on various threads)
Price is MSRP or below.

I put down the $1000 (dealership doesn't even cash the check, tho) on silver with black interior, no nav. Might change to quartz interior if it's not "battleship gray" or possibly black exterior w/ parchment. Or I might not get the car at all if it seems too soft or slow when I finally get to drive it (see my other post about handling - would appreciate any first-hand experiences).

I AM WEAK
I finally succombed to 2004TL's planned, conniving, calculated advertising campaign for the 2004 TL. He MUST work for Acura and can't be 16.
I put a refundable $1k deposit down on a SSM/Ebony AT/Nav 2004 TL. My dealer is getting their first shipment in mid-October, so I'm hoping to have the car then. So much for buying, sight unseen!
If, after my planned test drive, I still want the car, I will be parting out my TL, and plan to sell the Type-S rims with tires (21k miles, rotated every 3.5-5k miles), and the Comptech springs (put on at the same time as the tires), if anyone is interested.

$1000 down on a Satin Silver/Ebony Canadian model auto, no navi. Trading my 02 Type S. No discount, not a bad trade in. Assumption is $42K Canadian. Dealer expects price to be close to Type S price last year which was $41.8. I am told they will know for sure Oct 1. Thought I would have my Type S for 10 years. Should have known better. There are two many enhancements for me to resist.

I had a "refundable" deposit of $500 that I put on a '04 TL. I ordered the car in a color called Anthracite (Dark grey with blue metalflake), ebony interior, and NAV. Dealer said initial cars are due in first week of October and my particular car is due Oct 15th.

Bumping a SUPER OLD thread!
So the guys who were able to pre-order their TL, be it auto or manual, where able to order it with the ASPEC package AHEAD of the cars being on the market in 2003? That's pretty awesome Acura let you do that!
