So many TLs
I guess all that television advertising Acura is doing is paying off. I'm running into a TL every turn I make. :surrender Almost feels like I'm driving an Accord or Civic.

The TL and Accord share very little. The platform is the same but considerably stiffened for the TL......................that's it. If that makes it an Accord, then it's an Accord, I guess.

Did you think nobody was going to buy the TL after you did? Enjoy your Civic or Accord... I see many more of those on the road than the TL -- plus, who turns their heads to see an Accord or Civic go by???

Man, no offense to anyone here but..just because a lot of people are buying TLs doesn't mean someone shouldn't. So what if more of them are on the road. There's a co-worker of mine that says he's leaning more to the G35 just because the TL is growing in popularity and he doesn't "want what everyone else has". Excuse me, that's the most stupid reason not to buy a car. There are more TLs being sold because it's simply an awesome car. Sure the G35 is rear wheel drive but I appreciate that I have a limited-slip differential, Brembo brakes, and all leather. Sorry, the Accord and TL are not the same. If the TL is a glorified Accord, then the G35 is just a glorified Nissan. I love my Honda.

Don't get me wrong the TL is great and I knew others would buy it. But in the 4 months I've had the car there seems to be twice as many on the road.

I used to enjoy exclusivity with my Saab 9-5. It was a great 60,000 mile car, then it's inferior engineering started to show through and it was becoming very problematic. I am enjoying less exclusivity and superior engineering. Plus, I like the look of the car; now I can enjoy the interior and exterior at the same time.

if you want exclusivity, then there are MANY cars out there that would give you that...
but, they are $$$$$$$...
so, it's good to see TL's around...look on the bright side...a lot of people are smart just like yourself and they made a good decision in purchasing the same car that "you have"...

Every car that I've owned I saw alot on the streets. I had a 94' GS300 a 99' CLK430 and a 02' Denali, so I don't think it is just about the price. The TL is selling like crazy because of the value, that's one reason why I bought one....(I have 3 kids now). Anyway, I think people just tend to see the car that they own, or are thinking about, more than others. If you are a car person that also plays a part, because you are looking around and checking out peoples rides. I'm in the D.C. area so there are alot of people with nice cars. Just today, I saw a kid who looked like he was 20 driving a Rolls Royce Phantom.

Acura/Honda has been having record sales lately. In december they broke there record for sales that they beat in November after Octobers sales records....and so on....

Any car out there that has so much to offer in appearance and features is going to be a good seller. I live in New Jersey, and I dont see them all over the place. I'm actually supprised I dont see more. It would be nice to hardly ever see one on the road, but with a car like this that isnt going to happen.

I bought a 03 Accord LX V-6 a few years ago after my 90 Accord was getting too old to drive around everyday. I was very disappointed with the 03 Accord (noises, rattles and quality issues). My 13 year old Accord was alot better than the new one. When we bought the 03, I told my wife that we would keep the car for ten years. Well, after about two years, I had enough. We bought a 05 TL with navi and have loved every minute of it. No rattles and very good build quality.
I live in Las Vegas and I see more G35's than Accord's and Civic's combined.

Interesting discussion. Have to say I've never seen an ad on TV for the TL here in So. Calif. May be because I don't watch that much TV!
Don't see a lot of TL's on the road here. (Accords and Camrys are everywhere!) The dealer where we bought out TL only got 5 or 6 in a week and they were all sold by the next week. He only had one unsold one on the lot when we cut our "deal".
Otherwise, would not have made a difference. We bought the TL on its merits and value. Could care less if the neighbor had one too. (He dosen't).
