So Mad!

Got Chip-Guard on my 07 tls WDP and it turned yellowish after 1 year! What a waste of $, sorry just needed to vent a lil

yup i see it happen on most cars that have that stuff installed.....dont know if its the weather or the quality of material

Is that brand specific? I have seen lots that aren't yellow.

Go back to the installer and have it redone unless there wasn't a discoloration gaurantee.

What is chip guard? Is it like a clear bumper cover or something?

I don't know what brand you have applied to your car but I have 3M on mine and mine looks like it was applied yesterday with simple proper maintance, no discoloring whatsoever. I think there is a lifetime warranty on these if they discolor so look into that, I'm sure you could get a new put on for free or very little cost.

i dont know specifically if its brand to blame but ive seen it and because of that i am totally against that crap on top of my paint.

sorry to hear about that man! i'm actually thinking of having something like that put on my wife's NBP (3M brand though). wonder if this is a common issue...

ok a little hard to see, it is much worse in the sunlight, it is 3M and I do have a guarantee, not sure if i wanna have it replaced

That looks ugly. Makes me not want to do it, but it is probably no doubt a product variance.

are you sure its 3m and not ventureshield?

ventureshiedl = no clearcoat
3m = clearcoat

If it is 3m, then it might be the older 3m film which had a yellowing problem.
