Oh come on....you deff need rims, and having a 5x120 bolt pattern opens up the whole black market in the BMW forums because you and I both know they have some baller wheels for sale Deff tint the tails as well, and window visors if they have em....man i'm just corrupting your brain right now...That doesn't even include what would probably fit from the 3G....<.<

 

ya know, bforbrian stopped by today.. and said the same thing abotu the 5x120 bolt pattern... i feel like there are more choices with 5x114.3.. i guess ill start my wheel shopping in the fall/winter

 

alot of high end wheels which are more expensive with 5x114.3 are actually cheaper in the 5x120 pcd... so yeah you are def entering a heck of a market

 

Congrats on the 4G , I am sure by that time RJ grill will be out as well so add that on to the list as well.

When doing the headlights I suggest just tossing out the OEM projectors and installing AP1 S2K projectors Even with the lens swap the OEM ones can never match the intensity, width and sharpness of the AP1s.


BTW, dont mind me asking, how much did they give you for your TL-S? I have been contemplating doing something like this with my 3G lately as well.

 

I got $25k ... car has 33,xxx miles... I figured, $25k as a trade-in... not bad....

I am DEFINITELY going to do my headlights up.... the questions is what am i gonna do... i know the 4G projectors are NOT bi-xenon, which kinda blows... but give me a few weeks and ill get inside of those bad boys and see what i can do

 

Thats a great price for a trade in! I paid 23k for my 07 TL-S with 35k miles

 

Wow...suprised you went 4G. But, sounds like you made a wise decision...leaving your old car for a new one with lower payments. Makes sense....good luck with it.

I was thinking about doing the same change... but I figured I'll spend the money on some major mods for the 3rd Gen TL instead... I may still make the switch due to the Big Body of the 4th Gen...

I'm going to brouse the 4th Gen Section now, since you're over there

Sad to see you leave the 3G forums. I definately kept an eye on your mods because I knew you would do it right and your car looked plain sick. I can't wait to see the 4G in a year after you have added your style to it. That AWD will come in handy in the winter. Good luck with the new vehicle.

I'll take a stab at the thought process on Acura's end...

You hooked up your 3G VERY nicely and was perfectly cared for...
They'll turn around and sell it for 30K...

AND, here's the real reason they gave you a killer deal on the 4G...1 unit sold...AND they know within 6 months you'll have the 4G looking muthafuqin PIMP and will probably get the attention of at least a handful of other prospective buyers that normally wouldn't look twice at a stock 4G TL.

They made a little money and got some badass marketing out of it, on your dime (out of pocket for mods..etc)...from everyone's perspective it's win WIN!

Daym man I didn't realize that would be the last time I saw your beautiful car at Hercksher. Both your 3Gs are legendary up here on AZ man, we've been on this forum awhile now we've been to so many meets. Sorry to see you go to the 4G forum but I am sure you will still be posting here and there. And I want to see what you can do with the 4G styling-wise. With the taste you have I am sure I may warm up to the 4G. It will be a tall order to outdo the way your TL-S looked.
