So I'm Thinking of Buying a TL....

I'm considering buying a 2008 TL Type S(6 spd man.), and I'm doing some research on the car.

From what I've read, there isn't much of a difference between the 08 and 07 models, so I'm inclined to think that maybe I should just go for the 07 and see if that will save me some dough.

I'm just wondering if there are any suggestions or helpful comments anybody on the forum has to make the whole process a bit easier for me. Things like how successful you were on negotiating a price and such.

I'm looking at multiple dealerships (Orr Acura in Shreveport, LA/ Acura of Baton Rouge, LA/ Acura of Jackson, MS). Does anybody here happen to live in any of those areas? I'm wondering if I could get any sort of feedback on the dealerships.

Thanks for your help.

Consider waiting for a 2009 - the redesign, it is bound to be good. Plus all kinds of new technology, more HP and SHAWD. Although I have read that there might not be MT at first. Save the cash and get the 07 if you cant wait.

Thanks

Thanks for the link, ggesq. That thread really helped out.

Yeah, I've read a little about the 09. Unfortunately, I've been placed in a situation where I am without a means of transportation at the moment so I can't exactly just sit around and wait a whole year.

There's no difference bw the 07 and the 08. Personally I'd go with the 07 and save a couple of thousand dollars.

Yeah if you can't wait for the 09 Redesign, I saw go with the 07 Type S, someone even said they got quoted 33,500 for an 07!

Wow! 33,500 for an 07 TL-S thats really good. I personally like the 08 simply just because of the year and in the future it may have a better resale value. I would pay 35,000 for the 08.

Thanks for your help.

Dealers here are blowing out 07 TL and TL-S for pretty much invoice or possiblly less. I am being quoted TL-S at $34,988 and I am not done negotiating yet.

Wow, thanks again everybody for your input. The more I look around, the more I'm thinking I should just go with the 07 since it's practically the same thing.

I'm just trying to arm myself with as much knowledge as possible before acting.

Let me know how your negotiations go, Keith.
