You just took off? =P Im surprised it didn't do much more.. my brother hit a deer with his 99 accord, and it completely fucked his engine bay. It bent his hood up, his bumper inwards, and Im pretty sure it screwed up the chassis a little. Not sure though, I never got to see the car damaged, just heard stories and can see from the attempt to fix it.

What's your deductible? I bet you can get insurance to cover that =) Would it fall under comprehensive or collision? It's technically an incidental collision

$500 deductible. But I know it's going to cost more than that :\ Ah well. What can you do. I gone just under 2 years without a scratch. And I get hit with the mother of all beats.

I live right down the road from the Appalachian Mountains and in the countryside. Bears are just as regular as dear around here.

Yea man. The bear wanted to cross and didn't look both ways before doing so I guess. I saw it out of the corner of my eye at the last second and I thought to myself "ahhhhhhhh!".

I hope to get it fixed as soon as possible. On the bright side, I have to buy a new bumper now. Since the one I have now is full of dents and dings from salt, sand, and rocks from winter.

For some odd reason, I get a chuckle at the title of the thread. I can't get the picture out of my head of a bear aiming to hit your car vs you hitting the bear! Where in Jersey did this occur btw?

ehhh.. ive seen worse just be glad it didnt come threw the windshield, ... all that is, is a new bumper and some minor body work for the second pic, ... did you recover the bear by the way? I am looking for a nice rug for the living room .. PM me if you have the beast's carcus in custody.
