Thumbs up Snow traction

Again i'm happy to say regardless of the naysayers that the Turanzas work remarkably well in the snow. We got 2 inches yesterday and I had no trouble getting around, curves hills (One a 1/2 mile 35% slope). The VSA and LSD work magnificently in tandem. On braking and cornering again the VSA and ABS work in harmony. I even took it to a large empty parking lot to do the progressive 8 curves, wonderful control. Again a remarkable performance from a remarkable car!!!!!

would stock 18"s significantly hinder the car in snow? Snow easily goes over low profiles to get in rims. Would this cause the car to easily get stuck?

Thanks for the info, I'm sure many of us in the snowy areas of N. America have been wondering about how the TL would do in the snow with the standard tires.

Gosh, can you even get snow tires in low profile 18" size?

Your post is the best news I've heard! I had neighbors tell me their 2nd generation TLs do well in snow, but I was concerned since our car is wider and has wider/different tires.

Thanks, vtechbrain! I'm still waiting for the first storm of the season. It's good to know I'll be able to drive this car in it.

Doesn't having 18" wheels with matching tires make it more difficult to drive in the snow?
