No pay. Dealer replaced. Car vibrated from Day 1 and I immidiately got the service manager involved.
He investigated and the factory rep tolod him the BS were a known problem and authorized the tire replacement.

I'm glad you got tires replaced, but this one guy gets tires, the other guy gets told it's normal and to bugger off so he buys them himself stuff is really poor quality customer service on Acura's part.
Do you know the name of the "factory rep" who authorized the replacement?

MarkItZero,
How do you think the 245/45 size compares to the 235/45 EL42 BS tires?? Does the tire still have that "too small for the rim look", or is it more of a square fit, better rim protection?
A picture would be great.
I have been thinking either 245/45 or 255/45. My local Michelin man pulled out each size - Pilot Sports, and compared them to one of my BS's/rim off the car. The 255/45 looked significantly larger than the BS but the 245/45 looked about right... Problem is they weren't mounted so its hard to tell..
Your first hand opinion please
Thanks

I will try to get a picture tomorrow.
I definately like the wider tire, in fact the Pirelli's have transformed the car. It is smoother for sure. I think the 245 fits the rim much better, but it is subtle difference.

When you say "vibrate", does it visibly vibrate the steering wheel? Mine does not shake the steering wheel, I just notice that it is not as smooth on certain speeds.

The steering wheel is smooth at all speeds but I "feel" a vibration is coming from the rear - kind of a minor whole car vibe. I had the front two balanced on the "Hunter" when the Michelin man was matching up the Pilot Sports. Needless to say, I had a minor vibration in the wheel but it is now gone - and only one tire was off 1/4th an ounce... They were 7 and 18 lbs respectively in regards to the road force variance. Good - bad, don't know. I was amazed that that small a change in weight made a noticeable difference. I plan to have him "Hunter" the back two tomorrow, I can only hope they too alleviate what little vibration remains.

Acura's customer service is very unequal, and they need to be careful of that now in the age of the internet, EVERYONE knows what they have done for some, and what they have not done for others. What I really think it comes to is if the regionals listen to corprate or not, I think the ones who are rouges are the ones who felt customer service was more important than the bottom line.
To MarkItZero, you are one of the lucky stiffs!!!!!!!!!! Congrats and I wish you well
