Smoking the tail lights
You can either use a can or a spray. The film is easier, but the spray you can adjust the lightness to darkness upon how many coats you spray on. I got my films on ebay precut for 15 bucks, but there was a little bit of edge showing. I would personally order a 24"x24" sheet of vinyl like I did for my headlights. Put it on yourself and cut to make a perfect cut.
Thanks for that link. At first I wanted to smoke the entire taillight, but I like your pics of the taillights only half smoked, with some red still showing, and some smoked. How did you go about that? Did you spray or use film?
