I'm really looking into getting these tails but idk if they will look good in my NBP or not

There probably wont be enough contrast, but i would love to see some pics, though.

I have a theme in my head of either blacking out the car or having a black/carbon fiber/blue theme.

I just hope they are darker than the actual picture so they would be "blacked out".

 

it actually looks much better in real life.

I did not like the lack of contrast initially...but now that I've had them, and the base reds and the type S's and the GHOST Tails...I honestly love them the best for the theme I was going for.






and here were the old ghost tails...they were nice, but the super see through and chromy area of the turn signals are what annoyed me with these.

 

I love those man. For sure going to get them. I think I like the fact they match the side markers. Whoever had the car before me put the Type-S side markers in it

Undying, do yourself a favor...go on ebay and look up the link for the smoked ones then contact USR directly and ask for Simon. Tell him you're from acurazine and see what price he gives you. It'l put a smile on your face. Tell him Jeremy (rockstar) sent you...he MIGHT remember me as I was the guinea pig for one of his products in the past.

I vouch for USR (Simon's) products !!!

they are very very well made and last a while....I have had his original sidemarkers for more than 2 years without a problem and am testing his new switchback sidemarkers....they might make a market appearance in the future....

but yeah call him and you will be a happy camper !!!

 

Buy a set of cheap OEM tails.
Mod until you like what you have.
Done.

 

lol that's if you're crafty and know what you're doing. It's easier said than done and I'd rather buy a set already done and ready to install.

 

@swoosh - do you now if USR has a deal for AZ members? On ebay it's 175 shipped total cost but it looks like USR is 175 + shipping.

True. We also have vendors who can do it for you.

 

I've heard mixed reviews on the modded tails, even from VERY respected headlight guys.

I've done my headlights, I've done ebay fogs and I TRIED to open up and mod some tails and let me tell you, I did not like how they opened up or how they came out when I attempted.

Either that or I was planning on replacing my cleared side markers with smoked ones to match the tails and later down the road buying the Type-S clear diffusers, I was hoping maybe be would give me a multi-item discount haha
