So your CL should be running high 13s maybe low 14s, whereas a TL only runs 15.2 at best with an A/T. Yeah it's sad to say how slow the '06 TL A/T are, you would think they would be faster.
It was said somewhere that the TL takes about .4 seconds each shift, that's a lot of time.

I thought he had a manual CL-S with a 6Spd, that's why I came up with the High 13s to low 14s estimate.
As far as shifting goes, a manual TL with a more than capable driver could out shift an AT TL, at least that's what I've read.

A DSG takes .1 seconds to shift a manual .3 and an automatic .4seconds do you know how slight a difference this is.
To give you a better understanding, whenever you go to a dragstrip try recording your reaction time, you'll notice that the best possible reaction time anyone can get is .5seconds you never realize it, but that's what it is. Try timing it yourself you will realize there is a slight hesitation when the TL shifts, that's been rated at .4seconds.

No, of course it doesn't but I threw it out there so some people can guage how fast .4 seconds is.
There is no way the TL shifts any faster than .3 seconds. Honestly how fast do you think the TL shifts for those of you who don't believe me.
