There are a few S/C kits for the Max out there. Could this be a S/C Max. The Smoke ?

hey, thanks for being concerned. don't worry though. this is on a secluded river road i take to work. there's no traffic at the time we travel (about 6:15am). it has long, straight stretches where you can see for about a mile or more. i definitely wouldn't play games with someone else's life.

turns out i did have a small exhaust leak from my downpipe, but not enough to kill my power like that.

jgscott - he very well could be s/c, but once he pulls in front of me i'm accellerating at the same rate as he is, so i would doubt he's got an s/c otherwise i'm sure i wouldn't be able to keep up. he just always gets a good jump on me.

CBR1100XX - if i had the money right now (just bought a house last november) i probably would step up to an 06 and put a blower on it. i've got a few more mods planned (intake spacers, icebox to replace my AEM, crank pulley, catback and hopefully a blower by october). maybe i'll run into him again and show him who's boss.
