I've installed it, removed the red paint too. Thank you for the tips!

When I screw down tight on the knob the numbering is not pointing in the right direction. I have to back it off about 1/4 turn to have it facing correctly. I'm thinking I'll need a washer to get it to line up correctly

Did any of you have that issue?

I ordered mine from ebay on the 10th, shipped on the 18th..... and I still don't have it yet. Takes a while (too long) to get things up to this country!

Mark you have to use the jam nut. then what I did was just force the boot up onto it. seems to hold pretty well.

I figured that out with the jam nut so I'm good there, thanks! Still will need to work onthe alignment and maybe go get a washer or 2 to fix that. I drove it today, very nice feel to the knob.

I finally said fuck it and walked back to my car... I knew which one was mine simply because it DIDNT LOOK LIKE EVERY OTHER FUCKING TL ON THE ROAD....

the jam nut is what gets you the alignment. Turn the knob down till its almost completely down. Then get it where you want it and tighten the jam nut against it.

Hey ACTROS, the nut that comes with the shift knob... do you tighten it down with the narrow end up or down?
I'm having a hard time getting the boot on.

I picked one up on ebay a few weeks ago and love it with the CT short shift kit. No need for the nut as mine line up perfecr. You can also use a little duct tape around the shaft and pull the boot up so it fits tight against the knob

Is this the Skunk2 Billet Shift Knob or the 10th Anniversary Edition? Or is the only diff. the logo? I ask because it looks like there different colors here, http://heeltoeauto.com/Honda-Acura-10x1.5-c-1524.html might just be the pics. (there at the bottom)

I think it's just the pics. I have the non-10th anniv knob and it's the color of the anniv knob on heeltoe's site.

I actually took the paint off of mine. But it is the regular knob not the 10th anniversary one. Its the billet shift knob, matches perfectly.

Mine....

I am really curious how you used that collar with the stock boot? Any help here would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much!

I just bought one of these MOMO Shift knobs and finishing collars... anyone know how to use it? It isn't obvious how to attach the boot to the coupler!

Anyone?

MEK is methyl ethyl ketone. just rub that bitch on there and the red paint will come off without damaging your knob.
