Silly question, NAV = touch screen or joystick?

Silly question, NAV = touch screen or joystick?

I thought Acura's NAV had a touch-screen. Am I mistaken? I see on the TL gallery photos that there is an Infiniti-style joystick at the bottom.

Anyone?

yes and we do have stick in the middle to move around but its much easier with fingers...

Yup, the joystick is kind of a pain in the butt compared to just mashing the screen. Put a screen protector on it (search the forum for Strong Engineering) and you won't worry about damaging it.

anyone know how to recalibrate that touch screen? mine is getting a lil off-centered on some touches

Recalibration can be found in the diagonstic mode. Press and hold Menu + Map/Guide + Cancel all at once to get to diagnostics. There you can adjust the touchscreen. Can't remember exactly which menu it is but there's a "test pattern" to make sure it's working properly and a "calibrate touchscreen" option as well.

I never had to re-calibrate so I don't really know how the exact procedure goes.

WARNING: When in diagostic mode, be very careful of what you do. Do so at your own risk.

I remember my 99TL with Nav was a bear with fingerprints. That screen was not a matte screen, so it showed fingerprints like crazy. The new one seems much better.
